About the Shop
Camellia Cottage creates cottage style floral arrangements. These can be made in anything from tea cups, antique planters, or old purses. We turn vintage finds into beautiful florals. Each arrangement is one of a kind and hand made. Camellia Cottage has its own unique style of florals which resemble English Cottage Gardens, or the feminine Vintage Chic style.
Camellia Cottage creates custom floral arrangements. We allow you to decide on the colors and flowers. Simply fill out the form, tell us what you want, and we create it. It's that simple. Camellia Cottage allows our clients the opportunity to use their own container/vase. We can place florals in anything from ceramic bowls to glass vases. Florals can be created to match your dining room colors perfectly. Our custom creations include:

The Real Camellia Cottage
The name Camellia Cottage comes from the small playhouse in my grandparent’s woods. It started out as a small one room building covered in cedar shake. Due to the breathtaking camellia bushes that surround it, my grandmother and I named it Camellia Cottage. Recently, she added a deck and newer room which we call "The Lodge". The real Camellia Cottage is filled with our yard sale finds, and has been host to dozens of tea parties.

The Ladies of Camellia Cottage
The business side of Camellia Cottage was the idea of Shannon Marlin. She was inspired by her grandmother, Betty Scott's, love of collecting dishes, linens, antiques, and almost everything else. They often met ladies at different places who seemed to enjoy the ambiance of the real Camellia Cottage, so they created this shop in hopes of sharing their special finds.

Betty and Shannon often call themselves "The Ladies of Camellia Cottage". Together they have hosted many tea parties, shopped at most of the local antique shops, and met so many nice friends in the process.
Shannon has a certificate in Floral Design from Central Piedmont Community College, where she talked her grandmother into returning to school. She inherits her love of gardening from her grandmother, so their studying florals seems only natural. The flower images used in the site's layout were taken by Shannon. The center image, of a trillum, was found growing near Camellia Cottage.
